I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and moved
here to Pleasure Island in 2001. I spent over 20 years in
the hardware and building material business before deciding
to move to the area in which I had wanted to live since I
was a child. My parents spent their honeymoon in Gulf Shores
55 years ago, so I have been coming to Gulf Shores and
Orange Beach literally all of my life.
I began investing in real estate in the mid-70´s and
bought my first property while in college at the University
of Alabama. My Dad helped me remodel it and get it ready to
rent. I bought my first Orange Beach condo at Harbour Place
in 1998. My wife and I made a deal - we made every decision
together except the decorating. It worked out well and we
were hooked on this beautiful beach community.
Since then, we have owned a variety of condos in Gulf
Shores, Orange Beach condos and Fort Morgan beach condos.
We've also owned vacant lots and single family homes. The
point I'm trying to make is that I believe in real estate as
an investment and I have first hand experience in investing,
which I'm happy to share with you.
